DIY Near Infrared Sauna

I love an infrared Sauna

I’ve had my Sun Dynamica Far Infrared Sauna since 2015 and I often tell people it’s the best money I’ve ever spent.

Then why would I want a DIY set up?

I’ve had a few bouts of intense sciatica over the past few years and while my Sauna has been helpful, I got the idea to use a Near Infrared Sauna set up at my standing desk, for 2 reasons.

1) To keep my back and upper legs warmed up throughout my working day

2) I’m a biohacker and I can’t help myself

So, without much further ado, what are the steps to making this?

1) Pick some Bulbs. I’ve opted for Rubylux

These ones for Aussie’s and European’s

These ones for USA

2) Get as many lamp domes as you have bulbs

Something like this will do

3) A surge protector to plug them all into

4) Something to affix them to. You can see I’ve opted for the back of an old chair. Shoe racks also work fine

That’s it, pretty simple and I can certainly work up a sweat in my enclosed study space
