Noticing progress

Looking day to day it can be hard to see progress.  Sure, we can take quantitative measurements along the way and track them.

Yet, sometimes we need to experience where we were, to remember how far we’ve come.

This past week has been just that for me.  During this Myrrh protocol for Liver flukes I’ve seen a resurgence of old symptoms. Sciatic nerve pain, muscular pain and stiffness, brain fog (sorry to anybody I’ve spoken to in amongst this HAHA) and a few other Lyme-like symptoms.

While we can be quick to label these symptoms as ‘bad,’ and I certainly would have in the past, I’ve been able to see these symptoms and remember just what it was like to live with these daily.  It reminds me of how far I’ve come, both in terms of physical resilience and also the big change in mindset, whereby I don’t strongly react to everything and go into fear at the first sight of pain, that I can sit with that with the knowledge that I can get through it.

So, this post is a reminder of how proud Stef is for past Stef, putting in the work day by day for a number of years.  I still ain’t where I’d like to be, but good luck trying to stop me from getting there!
